LAKE DISTRICT
Attivo sulla scena musicale dal 1993, il gruppo padovano ha rappresentato per diversi anni una sintesi coinvolgente di vari stili e generi musicali, spaziando dal repertorio celtico-irlandese degli esordi fino a influenze d'oltreoceano (nord, centro e sud America), con incursioni anche verso il klezmer e la musica mediterranea, mantenendo lo spirito e l'approccio della musica da strada, schiva verso le influenze marcatamente commerciali.
Filo conduttore rimane comunque il rapporto tra parola e musica: tale connubio ben si esprime nelle composizioni originali di Andrea Rigato & Lake District e nei riadattamenti di brani di cantautori internazionali, reinterpretati e in alcuni casi tradotti.
Nel corso degli anni i Lake District hanno inciso una serie di cd che documentano sia la loro produzione in studio, sia alcune esibizioni dal vivo.
Dopo gli album Sailing Songs, Colline in Pianura, Lake District Live 2003, Oltre la miopia del tempo, la band Lake District presenta il nuovo dvd: “20th Century Folk” - Lake District Macello Live 2013.
Il dvd contiene la registrazione live del concerto avvenuto il 19 maggio 2013 a Padova, in occasione dell'anniversario dei vent'anni di attività dei Lake District. Durante il fitto programma della serata i Lake District hanno condiviso il palco con numerosi ospiti e amici. L'evento inserito all'interno della rassegna Macello 2013 ha visto il ritorno di Andrea “Enea” Rigato come storica voce leader del gruppo.

LAKE DISTRICT
Active on the music scene since 1993, the Paduan group has represented for several years an engaging synthesis of various musical styles and genres, ranging from the early Celtic-Irish repertoire to overseas influences (North, Central and South America), with incursions also towards klezmer and Mediterranean music and maintaining the spirit and approach of street music.
However, the common thread remains the relationship between words and music: this union is well expressed in the original compositions of Andrea Rigato & Lake District and in the adaptations of songs by international singer-songwriters, reinterpreted and in some cases translated.
Over the years, Lake District have recorded a series of CDs that document both their studio production and some live performances.
After the albums Sailing Songs, Colline in Pianura, Lake District Live 2003, Oltre la miopia del tempo, the Lake District band presented the new DVD: “20th Century Folk” - Lake District Macello Live 2013.
The DVD contains the live recording of the concert which took place on 19 May 2013 in Padua, on the occasion of the anniversary of Lake District's twenty years of activity. During the evening's packed programme, Lake District shared the stage with numerous guests and friends. The event included in the Macello 2013 exhibition saw the return of Andrea "Enea" Rigato as the historic leading voice of the group.
